Alrighty lets get started...

1.) Food item 1.) is chocolate hot chocolate. Bet you didnt know that all your favourite chocolate is a hot chocolate too!! Such as Rolo, After Eight, and Coffee Crisp all have their own hot chocolate.

Pro tip: Replace hot water with steaming hot milk for a more creamy taste :)

2.) Food item 2 is these Christmas coloured cookies from Create a treat brand and they are awesome and delicious too. most likely they can be bought at your local grocer.

3.) Food item 3 is Nutella I know what your thinking isn't Nutella avaliable year round and yes it is but at Christmas they add a little spice to the packaging and it just kind of adds that little Christmas spice in  the air

4.) And just a reminder of the classic......... CANDY CANE!!!!!

Thanks everyone for reading this post and comment which was your favourite and weather you like mint or cherry candy canes better.

Book vs. Movie: Catching Fire

Hey Everyone,

Today I am going to be doing a book vs movie post. Since Mockingjay part 2 is a few weeks from coming out I decided for today to be "Flashback Friday!" I'm doing Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins vs. Catching Fire directed by Francis Laurence.

So let's get started...

Differences

-Bonnie and Twill... if you haven't read the book you've probably never heard of them but they come after the victory tour from the forest and Katniss finds out that they are from district 13 and this is the point in the book when Katniss starts to realize that district 13 could exist but in the movie Katniss really has no idea of this until the very end.

Surprisingly other than that the movie really is spot on and I recommend it for anyone 11+ just because of some intense scenes. But it is awesome but book vs. movie... Book.
Comment down below if you like movie or book better.

Hannah

What's in My Backpack (grade 6 edition)

Hey Everyone,

Today is the second post in my back to school series, Yay! And if you missed the first one I will link it down below.

http://hannahsblogofdiyandfun.blogspot.ca/2015/08/back-to-school-shopping-tips.html

PS. sorry for such a big arrow :)

Anyway today's post will be a whats in my backpack sixth grade edition, so it sort of falls back on my other post which helped me with this post. But anyway enough chit chat lets get on with it so here goes.

1.) Reebok Multi Colour Backpack from Bentley
This will be my 1st year using this backpack. And I chose it because it was good price and it seems pretty durable so it will probably last me a while which is awesome.

2.) Embark teal polka dot lunch bag from target
This will also be my 3rd year using this lunch bag. Again it's getting a little old but like my backpack it is still in great condition and it is super cute.

3.) Green Binder Pouch Pencil Case from Walmart
This will be my 1st year using this but my sister used it in the past. I really like the colour and also it will fit in my binder which could come in handy.

4.) Avery White Binder from Walmart
This is my first year using this binder and it is a very good binder. I decided to buy it plain white so that i could decorate it and  looks really nice.

Back to School Shopping Tips

Hi everyone,

Today is going to be the first post in a back to school series that I am doing because believe it or not it is already back to school season and I know that back to school shopping can be tiring so these are a few tips to keep it as easy on you as possible.

So lets get started!

Tip 1: reuse anything you can...

If you already have a good condition backpack, notebook, or binder why buy another one. The back to school supplies you buy will generally last you at least a year and if it lasts you longer than why not reuse it for the next year. I managed to get 2 full years out of the foxy jean rainbow checkerboard backpack from target ( when it was still in Canada). But also remember not to use anything that is in too weak of a condition.

Tip 2: Sometimes just buy it plain...

You don't have to always buy the pretty binders or the glittery notebooks, because with your imagination you can create a binder or notebook better than any one you buy at the store plus you can customize it to fit your personality ( and I will probably be posting a diy school supplies decorating post to help you out).

Tip 3: They Trick You...

The Staedtler pencil company claims to have the number one pencil or crayola may think they have the best crayons but the truth is they're all the same ( well most of them). You may think that one company is better but most of the time the store brand makes just as good a pencil as Staedtler at a better price. So be careful about that.

Tip 4: Stick to the List...

You know what you will need for school so there is no need to buy stuff you don't well need. For an example why do you need 10 pens if your teacher only asked for 5 or 5 binders when you only have 3 subjects that need binders. It is definitely a waste of money to spend money on things you don't need. But if you find  a deal where 5 pens is cheaper than 1 go for it just to have some extra stuff for your pen/pencil cup.

I hope this helped make your back to school shopping a little less stressful and look forward for more back to school videos to come.
